Ministry of Ports Shipping and Waterways invites applications for the following post via Deputation :

Post Name : Deputy Director (Engineering)

Essential Qualification :

(1) Officers under the Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Administrations or Major Ports or public sector undertakings, or autonomous Bodiesor Universities or recognized Research Organizations possessing the following qualifications are eligible for the post:-

(i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department;

(ii) with five years service in the grade, rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis, in Level-10 ( 56,100-1,77,500) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department;

(2) Bachelors degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute;

Essential Work Experience : Five years experience in the field

(i) Design, construction and Maintenance of Civil Engineering works including Harbour Engineering;

(ii) Maintenance and operation of different types of cranes, diesel locos, marine engines, winches and auxiliary machinery in a mechanical or marine workshop or organisation.
