National Disaster Management Authority invites applications for the following post via Deputation:

Post Name: Senior Research Officer

Essential Qualification: 

• Masters in Social Science or Physical Sciences or Bachelor of Engineering from a recognized university.

• Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories Administration or University or Public Sector Undertaking or recognized academic research or Training Institution, and Semi-Government or Statutory or Autonomous Body or Local Body :-

• Holding analogous post on the regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

• With five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the level 9 (53,000- 1,67,800) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

Desirable: 

• Doctor of Philosophy in Social Science or Physical Science.

• Degree in Disaster Management or Advanced Degree in related areas shall be given preference.

• Experience in disaster management or related areas such as water conservation, environmental management, forestry, urban planning and structural engineering from a recognized institute; and

• Work in government preparedness / response/ recovery/ mitigation community based or disaster management programme.
