National Institute of Technology Karnataka invites applications for the following post via direct recruitment :

Post Name : Project Scientist/Research Associate

Essential Qualification :

(1) PhD and M.E/ M. Tech specialized in Geotechnical Engineering. Candidates must have at least 6.5/10 CGPA or 60 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university as a full-time program for both B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.E/M.Tech.

(2) Experience/Expertise in Numerical Modeling with proficiency in software like PLAXIS 2D/3D, ABAQUS, FLAC, etc.

(3) Proficiency in Instrumentation for laboratory scale-model studies.

(4) Leadership qualities to coordinate with Ph.D. scholars and Technicians to supervise/maintain the advanced testing facilities and take charge of High-end Equipment.

(5) Good track record of publication and passion for research (To work with PhD/M.Tech students and produce excellent research outcomes in terms of joint publications/patents)

(6) Commitment to coordinate the project progress (laboratory tests/numerical modeling and field implementation) along with PhD/M.Tech students, JRF, SRF, Technicians, and Project Assistants.
