National Health Mission Odisha invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Senior Epidemiologist/Epidemiologist

Essential Qualification:

For Medical Background-MBBS:- The candidate must have passed MBBS Degree from an Institution recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC) alongwith any of the following course:-

  • PG Degree in PSM/ DNB in PSM

  • Master Degree in Applied Epidemiology

  • Master Degree in Public Health / Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management/ Diploma in Public Health Management.

  • S/he must have valid registration from the Odisha Council of Medical Registration.

Computer proficiency with level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word, MS Excel & MS Power Point and knowledge of web surfing to such relevant data and components is required alongwith the above eligibility criteria for each category.

For Non-Medical Background:- The candidate must have passed Master degree in Public Health (MPH) or Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management alongwith any of the following course:- M.Sc. in Life Science (Botany/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Marine Biology/ Biotechnology)

  • Master degree in Social Work

  • Master degree in Sociology

  • Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

  • Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS)

  • Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS)

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT)

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

Essential Work Experience: The candidate must have 03 years of postqualification experience in public health programmes/ facilities/ other public health institutions.

The candidate must have passed M.Sc. in Epidemiology with 03 years of postqualification experience in public health programmes/ facilities/ other public health institutions.

Computer proficiency with level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word, MS Excel & MS Power Point and knowledge of web surfing to such relevant data and components is required along with all the above eligibility criteria for each category.
