National Institute of Ocean Technology invites applications for the following posts via Deputation/ Absorption:

Post Name: Scientist-D

Essential Qualification:  Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering / Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering / Ocean Technology or Masters in Science in Nautical Sciences/Nautical Sciences and Tactical Operations from a recognized University with at least First Class (60% marks).

 

Desirable: Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent / Doctorate in Science in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institute.

Essential Work Experience: Seven years experience Research and Development, Survey, Planning, Supervision or training, etc., in any of the areas of of submarines / DSRVs, underwater equipments.

Desirable Experience: : Experience in piloting the submarines and submersibles, designing the test schemes and procedures for piloting the submersibles, handling human support and safety devices in enclosed space, familiarity with classification rules applicable to submersibles (DNV/IRS/ABS/etc)
