Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology invites applications for the following posts via direct recruitment:

Post Name: Director

Essential Qualification:

(i) Ph.D. degree in any branch of Agricultural Sciences/ relevant/related field with consistently good academic record,

(ii) The tenure of the Director will be for a period of 05 years, subject to other rules of service, age bar etc. in the university,

(iii) An eminent scientist having proven record of scientific contribution/working in a reputed organization/institute having at least 15 years T/R/E experience from recognized Government Institutions in the relevant subject out of which 05 years must be at the level of Professor (pre revised scale 37400-67000 AGP-10,000) or in an equivalent position,

(iv) Evidence of contribution to T/R/E as supported by published work/ innovations with a minimum of 15 research publications in the peer-reviewed or NAAS Rated journals at the level of Professor or equivalent.

Essential Qualification:

For Joint Director, Directorate of Research:

(i) Ph.D. degree in any branch of Agricultural Sciences/relevant/related field with consistently good academic record.

(ii) A minimum of ten years of T/R/E experience in university/college as Assistant Professor in the Pre-revised pay scale of 8000-13500/ 15600-39100 (AGP 6000/-) /Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research/extension experience at equivalent level. Only the persons working as professor or equivalent as per 6 pay commission/ Pre-revised pay scale of 37400-67000+ 10000 AGP, at the University/National Level Institutions is eligible to apply

(iii) Evidence of contribution to T/R/E as supported by published work/innovations. A minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or NAAS Rated journals.

For Joint Director, Directorate of Extension:

(i) Ph.D. degree in any branch of Agricultural Sciences/relevant/related field with consistently good academic record. The (ii) and (iii) same as at SN A2.
